George Sherlock, an English company that has been making traditional furniture for over 40 years, is available only through Ruby Beets. Frames are made of beech wood, and are constructed with three forms of fixings being doweled, screwed and glued. The internal fillings consist of fibre, felt, canvas, webbing, hair lock and coil springs. All the coil springs are hand sewn onto the webbing. The cushions are filled with feather and fibre mix, 100% duck feather or feather and down mix. Select your own fabric or choose from George Sherlock muslins available in a range of colors. Allow 14 weeks from date of order for delivery. Please email us, info@rubybeets.com for swatches.

Ruby Beets is the sole distributor of George Sherlock in the United States. Each hand built piece takes 14 weeks to arrive in New York.  George Sherlock upholstery is custom built, so can be a custom size both width and depth. It can have tight back or loose back cushions, the cushions are filled with feather.   

There are tapered or turned legs, that can be various wood colors, with or without hardware, nickel or brass. They use an ivory muslin or any fabric that you provide, they will also make a slipcover in any fabric you provide.  

Most of our clients choose to provide their own fabric, as upholstery is at no charge, we recommend choosing a fabric easy to obtain in the UK, such as romo, holland and sherry etc. They offer a range of fabrics from Villa Nova.

Our price includes in house delivery in the New York metropolitan area. To the rest of the United States, shipping is additional.
